How to be a Poised Goof
combining ballet and clowning for unique choreography. We will discuss the history and development of ballet dancers and clowns and do some group exercises that combine both disciplines. Participants will explore the importance and joy of juxtaposing opposite performance forms for unique character and choreography development and the benefits of improvisation as live performers. All bodies, abilities, and skill levels welcome. Please dress to move, wear dance slippers or bare feet, and bring your imagination!

Mary Strawberry is an internationally known award winning Atlanta, GA based theater artist. She finds herself at home both on the stage and behind it, and can be found sharing her art across North America. Whether performing, designing, building, or teaching, she is sure to inspire.
